Our Story

Darin and Rochelle and their young family opened The Beanery Coffee Co. in Summerland B.C in December 1996.  With their winning combination of fresh food, good coffee and great service, they quickly established a loyal following.  By 2000, with growing demands and a desire to provide the best  product possible, Darin purchased a Deidrich coffee roaster and began in-store roasting,producing the freshest, highest quality beans for his customers.  As word spread, pretty soon he was roasting for other cafes and grocery stores throughout the Okanagan.  With the decision to sell the café, Darin chose to continue to follow his passion of buying, roasting and marketing high quality coffee, building a loyal customer base as more people try his Artisan roasted coffee and taste the difference that quality and freshness makes.
